Sarasota Gulf Coast Art Colony!!!

This is my first website.  I established an Art Colony several years ago in Sarasota.  We met once a month.  Our mission was to promote starving artists (so to speak) in Sarasota meet, interact, paint and sell their Art in a Park like setting.  My mission hope was to give a percentage of whatever we sold and help "Broke Folks", hence the name... SAVE BROKE FOLKS.COM.   The Sarasota Gulf Coast Artist's Community/Colony... Services Network & Foundation, Mission and Gallery. It was intended to be an enchantingly safe meet-up place that connects "Angel" humanitarians to a network of artist's and friends and fellow human beings that might be in need of help or could give help...... We were quashed by a loud mouth "soccer mom" that worked for the county that said we interfered with the soccer game going on at the other side of the Public Park (we had gotten permission from the necessary authorities at the county, we thought)...  She bellowed that she was "somebody" at the county and that who ever gave us permission didn't know what they were doing.  Well, the whole thing was embarrassing to say the least but thank goodness the Sunday News gave us a great write up.  However, the County killed our Charity project....  Maybe, someday we'll be able to accomplish our goals when I can afford to buy a piece of land to have a stationary "Gulf Coast Art Colony"....  Thanks to everyone who tried to help....  You are all appreciated!!!

Many of us have needed a helping hand from time to time... a special "Angel" to help and did not know where to find such an angel. There were days when a little cup of kindness would have gone a long way to save the day. Most of you know what I'm talking about....

The truth is... wealthy people have a difficult problem finding a way to directly help you. So, what do they do? Usually, they hand the matter over to their attorneys or some big organization that handles contributions for them. And, they do the retail gift shopping for their clients. I do certainly praise all of those most honorable people, attorneys and organizations that have helped hundreds of thousands in need, and still do! Wonderful people have done extremely wonderful things for extremely wonderful causes. Bravo! ... to all those honorable people!

However, Save Broke Folks.com is targeting the "niche" working class "not considered" in the generous organizations of things. The average hardworking guy or gal, the majority of us, who, unsuspectingly, sometimes get slammed by hardships and need a little help to find an "affordable" home or decent work in order to pay for that home or unexpected hospital bill ...or repair the lightening strike to your home ...or car repair bill ....you know, the average persons average problems....

The "average American" gets lost in the cracks of big corporate regulations. We just haven't that qualifying disease, thank goodness..., or any ailment, or we own our own car or home, barely... whatever.. the Requirements for those grants, donations, food stamps or charitable gifts, etc. prevent us from getting helped. Not to mention Pride!... Sort of a catch 22.
